Field Trip
I enjoyed this assignment. I got to visit my roommates pages and some of my close friends. But I don't know everyone in the class so it was fun to look at their pages to get to know them too! What I found most interesting was Ran and Laura's blogs. They're both non-LDS students and I think the insights they have are way cool. I really learned alot reading about their lives. Ran impressed me with his diligence to do well in his school work. And Laura's ability to realize what BYU's honor code means to people in the real world and her ability to appreciate the education we receive here. I thought their views were really interesting and now I hope to really get to know them better.

Resistance
The area of most resistance I've faced most at BYU this semester is my own tendency to believe that I can't do hard things and that obtaining a Dance Education Major and Math Education Minor will be impossible. My math classes are so hard and fast paced and my dance major is so competitive. I have dealt with this issue by prayer, diligent scripture study, good friends, and faith that with the lord all things are possible. There have been so many times that I've wanted to just buckle down and give up on all my studies and just let my test score be what it will be. But then I remember that if I try my hardest the lord will help with the rest and that in the end if i've kept his commandments everything is going to turn out just the way its supposed to. :) So I shouldn't fear. But here's where we get to the part where I analyze how I can do better, because I do fear. I don't always live with a motto "Happy go lucky" so if I could just keep the larger perspective in sight more often then I wouldn't fear as much.

Halloween
This halloween was really fun! I enjoyed my evening but it definitely wasn't the best. I missed my old high school friends that I loved dressing up with. We were always so creative! No matter what we did we had a blast! This halloween was really mellow and uneffectively planned so rather wimpy. My favorite halloween was my jr. year of high school. My friends and I all dressed up like old people and then pretended to be old for the whole night! We carried a a little table around with us and chairs and would park outside our closest friends houses and pretend to drink prune juice and play kanasta instead of saying "Trick-or-treat" Our little charades and skits were our treat to the people who lived in the home! We didn't break character all night though! We even drove 20 miles under the speed limite driving from house to house! I've never had so much fun! The best part was when my mom took pictures at our house. My friend danny had some suspenders on that were a little too loose. They slid off his shoulders and ended up hanging off his waist. Well when my mom snapped the first photo he was bending over setting up the table with his backside to the camera. and sadly we no longer have this picture but it caught him with his suspenders riding right up his tushie! haha I think i about wet my pants when I saw the picture! haha I don't know if i'll ever have a Halloween quite as good.
